The access point must have a physical WPS push button available, please check with your device’s user guide for details.
Ur network must be using the WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2 security protocol. Most WPS enabled access points will not connect using the WPS method if the WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) security method is used, or if no security is enabled. For details on which security method is being used on your wire-less network, please check the wire-less connection settings on your computer.

- Make sure that your printer is turned on.

The Windows Fax & Scan utility enables u to scan doc & pictures. Before u can scan doc & pictures u must have a scanner installed on your computer. Your scanner must be listed in the Devices section of the Devices & Printers Control Panel window.
To check to see if your scanner is properly installed open the Device Stage. Choose Start→Devices & Printers. If Windows doesn’t automatically find your scanner u can manually add it in the Devices & Printers window by clicking the Add a Device button in the toolbar & following the wizard’s commands.
Choose Start→All Programs→Windows Fax & Scan.
Click the Scan button in the Navigation pane then click the New Scan button on the toolbar.
