The high-flying Aerial screensaver is one of my favorite things about the 4th generation Apple TV. It looks so cool I often find myself watching it instead of catching up on my Netflix shows. Here’s how to get it on your Mac or PC.

For the Mac version, John Coates has a download and installation guide at Github. And for the Windows version, Github user cDima has a similar download and guide. All you have to do is download the installer, unzip it, and run it. Then you can select “Aerial” as your designated screensaver within your operating system per usual. You can also tweak some settings and get the latest Aerial videos from Apple, make it so a different video plays on each of your multiple displays, and set favorites so you always get to see the videos you like. Way better than an actual fish tank

This is a nice, colorful relaxing screen saver which is much more fun and enjoyable
to watch than an actual fish tank. I like the motion and colorful fish better
than the abstract, static picture or vista screens savers. There are only 5 fish tank options which
are mostly similar and the music is repetitive and annoying so I turn it off. Other
than that it is by far my favorite screen saver. Would like some additional aquarium scenes.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Downloaded the free version. When I ran the app, it appeared on monitor 1, but I wanted to see it on monitor 3. Went into preferences, and right there was a selection for which monitor to use. Also, I didn’t want to use the app as a proper screensaver, but rather as an app I can bring up on demand. It does both! After running the free version for about one minute I paid the measly three bucks for the paid version. Great work, Devs! A previous review said it was nothing but a bunch of “fuzzy” videos?! Dude, it’s called an Ophthalmologist. Get your eyes examined.

Very Realistic Graphics

I was using an aquarium screen saver screen saver on my Mac Mini for several years and was enjoying it until I discovered this one. It is by far more realistic and relaxing to watch. The ads were distracting but I didn’t mind upgrading to full version because I enjoyed it so much. I just wish it covered other platforms of Apple/Mac products, but that wasn’t a big enough issue for me to affect my top rating for this product
